Restaurant description

Experience peace and tranquillity in the luxurious surroundings of this spectacular Scottish Baronial Castle. A member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux Association, Glenapp Castle is set amid 36 acres of magnificent gardens and woodland on the beautiful Ayrshire coast, just ninety minutes south of Glasgow.

The award winning, AA five red star and VisitScotland five gold star Glenapp Castle, offers internationally renowned standards of quality and service, as well as superb fine dining in the restaurant which has a Michelin Star and Four AA Rosettes.

Guests enjoy strolling through the gardens and grounds and the surrounding countryside of Ayrshire and the vast Galloway Forest Park is ruggedly beautiful with many places to visit and sights to see.

The castle is open to individual guests from mid March until 2nd January each year. Glenapp is also available for exclusive use reservation and in this guise becomes the ultimate romantic setting for weddings or a relaxing private retreat for sporting breaks, corporate entertaining and family gatherings.

The Scottish larder is second to none and we have built great relationships with our fantastic local producers from around Ayrshire and across Scotland.

Executive chef experience and qualifications

After graduating from catering school in Lincolnshire, Adam Stokes joined the kitchen brigade at fellow Relais & Châteaux Hambleton Hall, where he spent seven years. He joined the kitchen at Glenapp Castle as Head Chef in March 2008.
His stylish food is a sophisticated blend of traditional combinations and modern inventive twists. The best Scottish and finest local ingredients such as Ballantrae lobster and crab and Ayrshire beef and lamb are seen on his daily changing six course menus.
Glenapp Castle was awarded 4 AA Rosettes, a Michelin Star and CIS Excellence Restaurant of the Year in 2011.
