Restaurant description

Pietro Gori, sixth of eight brothers, arrived to Milan as he was 13 years old. In 1938 he founded the restaurant “Alla collina pistoiese” with his wife Saida Benedetti, presenting typical plates of his beloved Tuscany to people from Milan: pasta with beans, escallops Florentine style bread-coated with tomatoes, steak Florentine style, tripe. With the years the restaurant became a famous meeting-place. The sons Franco and Franca followed the path of their father and in the 80’s  also Pietro’s third son Bobo Gori, famous football-player, entered the business together with his cousin Francesco Arrigoni.
Until today Franca, Francesco and their children manage the restaurant “Alla collina pistoiese”.
