Alessandro Bay, Head Chef at Refettorio
With a love for food from an early age Alessandro Bay is passionate about his creative art. Alessandro was born in Genova and has worked and gained valuable experience in kitchens throughout Europe starting in his native Italy, moving on to Belgium and finally coming to London in 2000. From May 2003, after experiencing many different cuisines around the world, Alessandro’s journey continued, his passion for food led him to the Michelin starred Locanda Locatelli.
At Locanda Locatelli, under the leadership of Giorgio Locatelli, Alessandro’s knowledge of Italian food and his skills in the kitchen developed even further and contributed to the restaurant’s success. Highly influenced by Giorgio’s emphasis on best quality fresh produce and uncomplicated style Alessandro was recently appointed Head Chef of Refettorio at Crowne Plaza London – The City.
Alessandro’s delicious traditional Italian dishes are already proving a firm favourite in the heart of the city.
