Restaurant description

Fidelisbäck is a bakery and a pub. It's situated in the middle of the medieval town of Wangen.

The entrance to the restaurant leads through the baker's shop where it smells of fresh wood stove bread and pastries. The ambiance is simple and rural.

What's special in the Fidelisbäck is that you (almost) never get a table for yourself but you sit with other guests at a big wooden table and chat with each other. The conversation starts usually with a " Where you come from? " and afterwards people talk about a huge variety of subjects.

You eat hot "Leberkäs" from the oven with "Laugenhörnle" and "Souls" from the bread basket on the table, drink a cold beer from the tap, relax and just feel good!

"Leberkäs" is a kind of meatloaf, served hot from the oven with fresh baked "souls" (wheat bread with caraway seeds and salt on top, a very old recipe) and "Laugenhörnle" (a kind of crispy pretzel)
